UPPAbaby Mesa MAX — expiration
Infant car seat.
UPPAbaby ties the Mesa MAX to a 7-year useful life — the original MESA and the MESA MAX infant car seats, under "NOTICE OF EXPIRATION" in each seat's own UPPAbaby product manual — MESA (1017-MSA-MANUAL-US) p.4 and MESA MAX (1001-MSM-US, 09/2023) p.6, both linked from UPPAbaby's own manuals pag.
Discontinue use of this child restraint after 7 years from the date of manufacture or after a crash. Refer to labels on bottom of Carrier and Base.

Read your label against the formula
Find the date of manufacture on the seat's label, then add 7 years — the same month. As UPPAbaby applies it:
| Manufactured in | Reaches its stated life in |
|---|---|
| 2019 | 2026 (same month as your label) |
| 2020 | 2027 (same month as your label) |
| 2021 | 2028 (same month as your label) |
| 2022 | 2029 (same month as your label) |
| 2023 | 2030 (same month as your label) |
| 2024 | 2031 (same month as your label) |
| 2025 | 2032 (same month as your label) |
| 2026 | 2033 (same month as your label) |
Where the date is on this seat
On labels on the bottom of both the carrier and the base on the Mesa V2 and Mesa V3; the manuals add that the same information is on the manufacture labels or engraved on the underside of the carrier. On the KNOX it is on the bottom of the restraint; on the Alta V2, on the manufacture labels or engraved on the underside of the booster.

Recalls
