Chicco publishes useful life by category, not by model, and the published categories leave two gaps. The "Designed Lifespan (from Date of Manufacture)" table has no row for plain, non-rotating convertible seats — its convertible row is scoped to "Rotating Convertible Car Seats" — so the NextFit's 8 years is stated only in the NextFit manual, not in that table. The table's All-in-One row reads "8 or 10 years", so Chicco publishes no single figure for that category; the Fit4 manual is what states 10 for the Fit4, and that figure does not carry to Chicco's other all-in-ones. The KeyFit 30 manual states the same 6 years Chicco's infant car seat guide gives for the category. The manuals are version-dated (NextFit (c)2016, Fit4 (c)2019, KeyFit 30 (c)2020) and none prints its own model name in its text, so the model-to-manual link rests on Chicco's product-manuals index, which labels each PDF, plus the specifications inside each manual. Where the date is on a Chicco seat
On an adhesive manufacturer's label on the underside/bottom of the car seat, and on the car seat base. Chicco's manuals direct owners to the manufacturer's label on the underside of the Child Restraint, which carries a printed "Do Not Use After" date; the model and serial number sit on a label on the bottom of the Child Restraint. Chicco's expiration article adds that the date also appears on the product registration card, and its contact page describes the label as a white sticker on the frame of the product. Chicco stamps a date of manufacture and, on these seats, a "Do Not Use After" date — not a bare expiration date alone.
